Due to the ongoing extreme heat and heat warning issued by Environment Canada, we must ensure air conditioning systems on our On Demand fleet are working well to keep you comfortable and safe.
We may see increased delays or cancellations if some of our vehicles do not keep interiors at an appropriate temperature. We appreciate your patience.

Due to a road closure on North Street / Manvers Road in Newcastle, from Concession Road 3 to King Street, Route 507 will detour via Arthur Street and Concession Road 3.
Westbound trips will operate via Concession Road 3, Arthur Street, King Street, Mill Street, Edward Street, Brookhouse Drive, and King Street.
Eastbound trips will operate via Mill Street, Edward Street, Brookhouse Drive, Arthur Street and Concession Road 3.

Route: 403
Due to a construction related closure of Thickson Road, between Victoria Street and Wentworth Street, Route 403 will detour via Stevenson Road.
Route 403 westbound trips will detour around via Fobes Street, McEwen Drive,Wentworth Street, Stevenson Road, and Bloor Street.
Route 403 eastbound trips will detour via Bloor Street, Stevenson Road, Wentworth Street, Forbes Street, McEwen Drive and Wentworth Street.

Durham Region Transit’s Customer Service office hours have been temporarily adjusted from May 13 to 19, 2024. The office hours are as follows:
Monday, May 13 to Friday, May 17:
- Phone lines: 07:00 to 18:00
- Front counter: 08:00 to 17:00
Saturday, May 18 to Sunday May 19:
- Phone lines: Closed
- Front Counter: Closed
Phone support, in-person inquiries, fare media sales or lost and found collection will not be available while the office is closed. We apologize for any inconvenience.
