WHITBY, ON – On April 10, 2017, service adjustments will come into effect on several Durham Region Transit (DRT) routes. Adjustments include schedule and resource realignments in preparation for High-Frequency Network improvements, which will be implemented in time for back to school, in the fall of 2017. Customers are encouraged to visit durhamregiontransit.com for full details and updated route maps.
The initial phase of DRT’s 2017 Service Changes will see the transit network become more efficient by reallocating resources from low-ridership routes to provide more service on busier routes.
2017 Service Changes were communicated at each of the 14 DRT Public Information Centres (PICs), which were held across Durham Region throughout March. In addition to the PICs, DRT uses feedback from customers, operators, field observations, data analysis, as well as partner transit agencies to continuously enhance services.
If customers require further assistance, they are encouraged to contact the DRT Customer Service Centre, conveniently open seven days a week, at 1-866-247-0055.
