2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass returns to Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is again offering the 2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass via PRESTO. Customers who are 13 to 19 years of age can purchase the 2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass for $103.68 —that’s two monthly passes for the cost of one monthly pass.

Once purchased, the August pass will automatically renew on the customer’s PRESTO card prior to the beginning of August.

Waterfront Route 100

The City of Pickering and Durham Region Transit (DRT) have teamed up to offer fare-free service on Route 100* to get you to and from all your favourite Pickering waterfront activities.

Starting June 29 and running until September 2, Route 100 will operate on weekends and on statutory holidays, including July 1 (Canada Day), August 5 (Civic Holiday), and September 2 (Labour Day).

*fare-free service applies only to Route 100. When boarding all other routes, standard fares apply.

On Demand Service Update

Due to the ongoing extreme heat and heat warning issued by Environment Canada, we must ensure air conditioning systems on our On Demand fleet are working well to keep you comfortable and safe. 

We may see increased delays or cancellations if some of our vehicles do not keep interiors at an appropriate temperature. We appreciate your patience.
