Back to SearchWhitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is implementing seasonal changes to two routes beginning December 5, 2022 and will also be adjusting service during the holiday period from December 24, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
When: Service updates come into effect on December 5, 2022.
Where: Routes are being adjusted across Durham Region as follows:

Christmas Day (December 25, 2022):
- A special schedule will operate on Sunday, December 25, 2022 as follows:
- Routes 902, 915 and 916 will operate hourly between 09:30-17:30
- N1/N2 will operate all day (24 hours) every 30 minutes
- On Demand will operate as follows on Sunday, December 25, 2022:
- Urban areas: Overnight On demand will operate all day (24 hours)
- Rural areas: Rural On Demand will operate on a Sunday schedule between 07:00-21:00
New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2022):
- Regular overnight service will operate
- Service will be free after 19:00
Why: December 2022 service level exceptions are designed to accommodate lower ridership, typical of the holiday season.
