Whitby, Ontario – Earlier today— as part of the We’re on This Ride Together awareness campaign and in an effort to continue to encourage all passengers to wear a mask while using public transit—Durham Region Transit (DRT) unveiled its huge mask decal; to be displayed on three buses within its fleet.
The large mask decals, which span the entire front of the bus, will serve as a reminder to all those in the Region of the importance of wearing a mask when out in the community, including on board DRT buses.
In addition to the masked-wrapped buses, DRT will be distributing 2,500 free branded masks to residents of Durham Region. More information about the distribution will be posted to our website and social media channels in the coming days.
Face coverings or masks are mandatory when taking transit. For more information, visit DRT’s COVID-19 Information Page.
