WHITBY, ON – Durham Region Transit is once again making it easy to celebrate New Year’s Eve safely. On Sunday, Dec. 31, after 8 p.m., residents and visitors to the Region can ride DRT for free! If you’re planning to stay out late, DRT is offering extended service, which includes late-night shuttles from GO Stations, until 3 a.m. Route and schedule information is available online at durhamregiontransit.com.
Free and extended New Year’s Eve service also applies to specialized services. Trips on specialized services will be first come, first served. Trips may be reserved until 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30.
DRT’s free and extended service on New Year’s Eve is made possible, in part, by the generous support from the Durham Regional Police Services Board and Ontario Power Generation. If you’re out celebrating, let DRT be your designated driver. Be good for goodness sake, and let DRT take you home safely!
