Whitby, Ontario – June 14 is National Blood Donor Day and Durham Region Transit (DRT) is teaming up with Canadian Blood Services to help make a meaningful impact.
DRT representatives will be donating blood on June 14 as part of National Public Service Week (June 12 – 17).
Anyone can participate with DRT by visiting blood.ca/account and signing in/creating an account, joining the DRT Team and booking an appointment to donate blood on June 14.
When: June 14 is National Blood Donor Day and DRT staff, and anyone wanting to take part, can donate blood, contribute financially or volunteer.
Where: Participate at your local blood donor event. Locations and other information such as how to volunteer, can be found on blood.ca.
Why: As a team, DRT can do more for patients in our communities and across the country, making a meaningful impact by donating blood.
