WHITBY, ON – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is pleased to announce upcoming Public Information Centres (PICs). These well-attended public forums, held annually in each municipality throughout Durham Region, are designed to solicit public feedback on proposed changes and enhancements to DRT services.
“The public input we receive at the PICs each year is invaluable: it is a great opportunity for our customers to have their voices heard and provide feedback on our services,” says Vincent Patterson, General Manager. “Our customers play a key role in helping to shape the future of Durham Region Transit services, for 2020 and beyond.”
“The annual PICs are an important opportunity for our Service Design team to speak directly with our customers and gain meaningful insight to ensure we provide services where they’re the most effective,” adds Christopher Norris, DRT Manager of Customer Experience.
Information will also be available at the PICs about the 2019 DRT Service Plan, which focuses on enhancing the Frequent Network, continued expansion to new communities and employment areas, advancing transit in north Durham, and providing additional capacity on DRT’s busiest transit routes. The DRT 2019 Service Plan presents an investment of nearly 8,000 new annualized service hours.
