Whitby, Ontario – On Monday, January 2, 2023, Durham Region Transit (DRT) will be implementing service adjustments to improve service reliability, availability and address feedback from customers and staff.
Due to high demand, scheduled service will be expanded in certain locations. On Demand capacity will be reallocated to areas of high growth.
When: Service updates will begin on Monday, January 2, 2023.
Where: Routes are being adjusted across Durham Region as follows:

103 | Monday to Friday: - AM and PM peak routing will be extended to the Finch and Altona area.
- To improve connections with the GO Train, trips departing Pickering Parkway Terminal between 17:05 and 19:05 will depart 10 minutes earlier.

112 | Monday to Friday: - AM and PM peak routing will be extended to the Taunton and Burkholder area of Seaton. The routing is temporary and will be updated as additional arterial roadways open.

211 | Monday to Friday: - To improve connections with the GO Train, the 6:11 trip from Ravenscroft towards Ajax Station will depart at 06:00.

222 | Monday to Friday: - Updated travel times have been implemented to reflect increased road congestion. As a result, trips will now operate every 45 minutes.

291 | Monday to Friday: - Trips will depart 45 minutes earlier.
|
302 | Monday to Friday: - Trips towards Whitby Station will end one hour later from North Campus.
- Trips towards North Campus will end a half hour later.

392 | Monday to Friday: - Route will now operate every 30 minutes, from early morning to evening between Whitby Station and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.

410 | Monday to Sunday: - Route will travel via Centre Street / Fairbanks Street and Simcoe Street, instead of Celina and Albert Streets, following the same routing as the 423.

411 | Monday to Friday: - Trips departing Oshawa Centre Terminal at 07:18 and 13:51 will operate as 411C trips, serving Avondale Drive.
- Service towards Farewell/Raleigh will end one hour later.

423 | Monday to Friday: - Will now operate every 30 minutes continuously from early morning to evening.

502 | Monday to Friday: - New evening service extended to 23:00.
- Routing in the Clarington Centre area has been modified to operate via Green Road and Stevens Road, instead of Boswell Drive and Brookhill Boulevard.
Saturday and Sunday: - New service will operate from 09:30 to 19:30.

PULSE 900 | Monday to Friday: - Trips to and from Scarborough will operate every 30 minutes.
- 10-minute frequency will be available between Glenanna Road and downtown Oshawa.

PULSE 901 | Monday to Friday: - Updated travel times have been implemented to reflect increased road congestion.
- Updates to the weekday schedule:
- Departures from the Oshawa Centre Terminal every 30 minutes.
- Departures from Lakeview every 30 minutes.
- Departures from Windfields Farm every 30 minutes.
- Additional trips will operate between downtown Oshawa and North Campus reflecting the higher demand along this part of the route.

905 | Monday to Friday: - Additional trips will operate during the midday between Whitby Station and Harmony Terminal.
- Trips will now operate every 15 minutes between Whitby Station and Simcoe Street and Brittania Avenue

PULSE 915 | Monday to Friday: - Updated travel times have been implemented to reflect increased road congestion. As a result, trips will operate every 20 minutes between 6:00 and 20:00 and every 30 minutes after 20:00.
- Trips towards Harmony Terminal will now begin at 03:45.
- Trips towards Ajax Station will end at 23:30.
Saturday and Sunday: - Service will operate every 20 minutes between 11:00 and 18:00, and every 30 minutes after 18:00.
- Trips towards Ajax Station will end at 23:00.

PULSE 916 | Monday to Friday: - Service towards Harmony Terminal will end later at 22:25.

917 | Monday to Friday: - Additional trips to operate between Whitby Station and Oshawa Centre Terminal at certain high demand times.
Monday to Sunday: - Scheduled departure times have been adjusted.

920 | Monday to Friday: - To improve reliability, the route will now temporarily use Stevenson Road and Conlin Road, between Taunton Road and Thornton Road and Conlin Road and Simcoe Street.
- Upon completion of construction, the 920 will operate via Thickson Road and Conlin Road.
