WHITBY, ON (June 14, 2018) – On June 25, Durham Region Transit (DRT) is rolling out significant improvements across its network that will make life easier for current and new customers alike. As the Region continues to grow, so does DRT’s goal of increasing ridership. June’s service enhancements were approved by Regional Council earlier this year and contain thousands of hours of new service, including earlier starts and later end times for many routes. Updated route maps are available at durhamregiontransit.com.
June’s improvements include additional service hours on some of the Region’s busiest routes, including 120, 224, 302, 401, 915, and 916. Commercial and employment areas will also see more service on weekends and evenings.
2018 service changes were communicated at this year’s Public Information Centres, which were held all across the Region throughout the month of March. Should customers require further assistance or have any questions, they are encouraged to contact the DRT Customer Service Centre, conveniently open seven days a week, by phone at 1-866-247-0055 or by email drthelps@durham.ca.
