Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is pleased to announce the virtual return of its popular Public Information Centres (PIC) for 2021. This year, two PICs will be held. The first session will focus on a new draft Social Equity policy, and Customer Policies. The second will seek input on DRT service and routes.
Information about the upcoming PICs is available online now. Residents and customers are encouraged to read through the presentation boards online and leave a virtual sticky note with any feedback or suggestions. Members of the community can also speak with staff directly online or by phone. Discussions will take place on March 23, 25, 30, and April 1, respectively. Complete details, including online session times, can be found online.
The second set of PICs will be held later in the spring and will focus on DRT’s Service Recovery Strategy, which will guide service development as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. More information on these PICs will be available closer to the sessions.

Quotes
“The invaluable feedback and input we receive year-round feeds into how we evolve public transit in Durham. While we can’t meet in person this year during our PIC process, it’s important to us that we continue to meet virtually, listen and learn about what’s important to customers and residents.”
