Service delays due to weather

Whitby, Ontario – Due to inclement weather, services are delayed as Durham Region Transit (DRT) operators are using extra caution as they travel at reduced speeds, reflecting weather conditions. 

When: Monday, January 17, 2022.

Where: The following services are impacted due to weather conditions: 

• DRT services across the Region are delayed.
• On Demand service in rural and urban communities is suspended until tomorrow.
• Specialized transit non-essential travel is unavailable.
• Overnight service is cancelled.
• Snow clearing services at bus stops is temporarily suspended.

Why: As snow clearing activities continue, passengers may experience a slower than normal commute tomorrow morning and should plan for additional travel time.
